Life after... (a fallen would be star)

by Nicholas de Castella

One of my greatest lessons was when our son aged almost 6 years died. I was pretty cross about that! We have 2 younger children.

One day, when I was hangingout the nappies, I was crying my eyes out and at the same time having a rather "pissed off" conversation with God, about how unfair it all was. Iwas thinking about my Nanna who lived to be almost 103 years, and was very
well until she had a stroke aged 101.

I was busy telling God that Craig was"ripped off". At the same time I was looking at the 100' high Mountain Ash trees in our yard, and the big hill across the creek, and I suddenly realised that103 years is nothing in the scheme of things. The hill, creek and trees hadbeen there long before Nanna, and our life, no matter how long or short is ablinking of the eye on the face of time. So it is very important not to
waste time on the past. We have to cut through the "crap" and pick up the
gold and run with it. The gold is the important things like enjoying the
autumn sunshine on our skin, the light changing in our garden, the smile on
our children's faces, remembering to tell our family we love them etc etc.
Enjoy... Margerie".

There is no doubt about it the mind loves complexity and the heart loves simplicity

Here is a little test to see how your 'Heart Centred Living' is progressing and some suggestions for directions to go in...

The indications that you are on the right path are very simple : your tensions will start disappearing,
you will become more and more cool,
you will become more and more calm,
you will find beauty in things which
you have never, ever conceived could be beautiful.

The smallest things will start having tremendous significance. The whole world will become more and more mysterious every day;
you will become less and less knowledgeable,
more and more innocent -
just like a child running after butterflies or
collecting sea shells on the beach.

You will feel life not as a problem but
as a gift, as a blessing, as a benediction.

I wish you a perfectly, happy ordinary day.
